I'm trying to be vague on exact timelines. I want it all to be kind of familiar feeling, with a lot of the limitations we all face day to day.
I absolutely don't want to start chucking around Dr Who style 'Get Out of Storytelling Jail Free" type technology.
When Lilly and Cosmo start talking about connecting the AsynchronousTachyon Flow to the Spoodleflop Warp Stabilizer...then you'll know I'm doing it for the money!

Guess Lilly had to re-enter the clothing-unoptional world sometime. Just realized that she's the least Scottish-looking MacKenzie, since, well...Mackenzie Phillips...

The Spoodleflop Warp Meta-event takes the form of a 4 dimensional folded lattice. This has numerous advantages over the older 'Core' structure , which required massive and wasteful containment. The Warp Lattice, being a Meta-Event, was stable at room temperature and needed no cooling of any kind. All the stresses being carried by the meta-symmetrical structure it relates to, the Quantum 'Rosebush', situated in T-Space. The next phase of Dr P.D.Q Spoodleflop and his teams' research has been euphemistically dubbed 'The Hot Buttered Crumpet' propulsion system.
